WHAT
WE DO
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS
To accomplish our mission of protecting the lands and waters of Central Colorado that we all love, we have a diverse suite of projects and programs that propel our impact.
From conservation easements and restoration projects, to programs partnering with agriculture producers and educating our communities on the importance of conservation, we are on the front lines of the work keeping our communities open and beautiful. Read below for more information on our efforts.
Conservation
Easements
As our most effective tool in protecting lands forever, conservation easements are one of our specialties. We work directly with land owners to ensure their needs and wants are met when it comes to preserving their land and family history.
Watershed
Restoration
Our local waters are a life-giving resource that we, and local wildlife, cannot live without. We develop and lead projects that keep our waters clean, healthy, and protected and coordinate restoration efforts in imperiled watersheds.

Agriculture
Resilience
We partner with local agriculture producers on innovative projects like virtual fencing, the STAR Soil Health Initiative, watershed assessments, and more. It is our goal to help keep working lands working in Central Colorado.

Community
Education
The Arkansas River Community (ARC) Preserve is a testament to the power of partnership. This 271-acre parcel is forever protected by conservation easements, provides critical habitat and connectivity for wildlife, and will offer public access to over 3 miles of the Arkansas River once a management plan is in place.
Our volunteers work hand in hand with local ranchers and farmers, helping them to keep their working lands working. This program affords locals and visitors alike to connect with the lands that make Central Colorado so special.
Ensuring our community is educated on and connected to local conservation efforts is of the utmost importance to our organization. From ranchers and business owners, to home owners and visitors, it's our mission to connect these individuals to protecting our lands and waters.
