We have changed our name!
Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas is now
Central Colorado Conservancy!

Welcome to Central Colorado Conservancy — your local land trust in Chaffee, Lake, Saguache, Fremont, Gunnison, and Park counties.

In 2016, we completed an extensive strategic planning process, assessing the organization and identifying concerning trends in the region. The result involves ambitious new goals that will triple our rate of conservation over the next decade.  Our 10-year strategic plan includes commitments to:

  • Conserve wildlife habitat and open spaces by protecting another 20,000 acres of land.
  • Care for and restore an additional four miles of waterways and plant 50,000 trees and shrubs to improve crucial habitat and protect our clean waters.
  • Connect our communities to conservation by engaging 3,000 participants annually and doubling membership and volunteerism.

At our Annual Event and Fundraiser on Nov. 17, 2016, we revealed our new name and logo, which reflect our new energy and goals. Please follow the links below for more about Central Colorado Conservancy and our exciting future. Thank you!

“We have done great work so far, but considering the region’s projected population growth and concerns over healthy watersheds, we realize it is a pivotal time for conservation in Central Colorado. The strategic plan will increase our impact and support our efforts into the future.”
— Executive Director Andrew Mackie

Common Cents
